We’re excited to introduce the heart behind RL Farm Dairy Goats & Creamery — our owner and founder, Ray Lindsay.
Ray’s love for farming started long before RL Farm ever became a dream. He grew up in Jamaica on a family farm where he helped raise many different animals, including goats. As a young boy, he worked alongside his grandmother, helping produce and sell goat milk products within their community. Those early experiences planted the seed for what would eventually become a lifelong passion.
Ray later moved to the United States, where he pursued his education and earned his bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Agriculture. He went on to work as a microbiologist at Eli Lilly and Company in Indiana, where he dedicated more than 20 years of hard work before retiring.
After retirement, the dream of starting his own goat dairy farm began to grow. Two and a half years ago, he moved to Georgia, where he has worked tirelessly to build the foundation for this farm and bring that dream to life.
Ray’s goal is not only to raise top-quality dairy goats, but also to develop high-quality goat milk products for the community. RL Farm offers raw goat milk for pets, and in the future goat milk soaps and lotions, and delicious dairy products like drinkable yogurt and cheeses.
Ray is a strong Christian believer and lives by the principle:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
That belief guides how he cares for his animals and how he hopes to serve the community through this farm.
RL Farm is also truly a family effort. Ray is the proud father of six children, all of whom are excited to support and help grow this business as it continues to develop.
What began as a retirement dream is now becoming a family legacy, and we’re excited to share the journey with you.
